Under the SkillSelect model, the Department of Home Affairs invite skilled workers to apply for a Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) (subclass 190) (subclass 491) based on the claims presented in their expression of interest (EOI) in SkillSelect. In order to be eligible for the program a candidate must score a minimum of 65 points to be eligible under the subclasses.
